Monitoring current and voltage from a galvanic couple and a reference electrode is a common way of determining localised corrosion rate. For maximum reproducibility it is desirable to test more than one sample, and as the test may be over a period of years it is best to try and minimise the amount of equipment tied up.
ACM have assisted the experimenter by the invention of the Isolated 20. Replacing 20 discrete ZRA's the professional looking case occupies a minimum of laboratory bench space. To avoid any interaction between the ZRA's each is built optically isolated from the others. This has the great advantage that 20 separate cells are not needed. All the couples may be placed in the same electrolyte without any interaction between them.
We have two models in the Isolated range, the Isolated 20 and the Isolated 30. The 20 has 20 channels and the 30 has 30 channels, otherwise they are identical.
A very professional and impressive piece of laboratory equipment, ideal for both long and short term testing at an excellent price.
All ACM Instruments come with a two year warranty which may, at low cost, be increased to five years for peace of mind.
